Family Fun

Families have been enjoying our town for generations, whether they’re camping some place picturesque or hitting the hotel pool. Parents like the balance of unplugging in nature to the numerous amenities just moments outside the parks. Kids like the fresh air and just having some fun!

Parks Galore

We’re a river city twice over, plus a lake or two! In addition to our phenomenal Willow River State Park waterfall, Homestead Parklands offers numerous rentable activities to enjoy on Perch Lake as well as a full playground, hiking paths, and grilling areas.

Bring the whole family this summer! Pack some food for a picnic at Lakefront Park and enjoy a Concert in the Park. Or go for a hike at Willow River State Park! Hudson is home to 11 parks that could easily fill your agenda.

Tour Around Town

Hudson offers several types of local tours, but one of the family favorites has to be Eagle Eye Farm. Just a few minutes south of town, kids get to meet award-winning alpacas, as well as sheep, llamas, pigs, miniature highland cattle and chickens.

The farm provides background and education describing how the Alpacas won awards and championships and what it takes to have them compete. Bring your camera - cute stuff always happens here.

Bring the Bikes

Our early riders really enjoy the paved paths at Lakefront Park in downtown Hudson. Families can get some fresh air and enjoy the river view. After a nice ride, you have some great options nearby to explore and refuel.

If you're a family of avid bikers, Hudson's bike route covers 62 miles. Or make Hudson your home base for a bigger biking excursion and add even more routes. Our neighboring cities offer almost 200 additional miles to ride!
