Conversations of the Valley March 24The U.S.-Iran Relationship: An Economic and Political Analyses”
A three-member panel made up of Dr. Hamid Tabesh, Dr. Reza Rahgozar, and Dr. Majid Entezarian, professors in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, will review current economic and political information about Iran as well as the country's historical relationship with the United States. The speakers will cover points of conflict and common interests between both countries and offer potential paths for improving the bilateral relationship.
Hamid Tabesh received his Ph.D. from Iowa State University. He is currently chair of the Department of Economics. He has an extensive teaching and research experience, is widely published in academic journals, and has numerous presentations at regional, national, and international conferences. Reza Rahgozar received his Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate School and is professor of Finance and Chair of the Accounting and Finance Department. He has more than 25 years of teaching and consulting experiences in California, Wisconsin, and overseas and has published several articles in finance, written numerous research proposals, and reviewed manuscripts in finance. Majid Entezarian received his Ph.D. from McGill University and is currently Director of the Research & Development at Phillips Plastics Corporation and an adjunct professor of Management in the Department of Management and Marketing.
The program will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Grand Banquet Center located at 301 South 2nd Street in Stillwater. The cost of the lunch and program is $17 and must be paid in advance.

Spring Showcase Business Expo March 28 The Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau is hosting the annual Spring Showcase, "Discover the Best of the Hudson Area" at the Hudson Sports & Civic Center (1820 Hanley Road) from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public. Children's activities, family entertainment and a day full of activities geared to showcase products and services available in the Hudson area. These products range from new vehicles and home furnishings to health-related products/services and lawn maintenance services.
